Dear Johnathan, Tom and I were saddened to read about your Mom. I am so glad you mentioned her smile and warmth in her obituary because that, as well as her passion for literacy, is her very essence and legacy. Just chatting with her in the library, laughing about cub scouts or sitting at a South School function or watching sports, she and your dad were two of my favorite people who made our time raising kids in Hingham a lot of fun.I can assure your childhood home is treasured by Sarah and her family. Your mother could not have been more gracious about the transfer. I am glad to have visited seen her happy at her condo and sorry she never got to revisit 9 Minuteman. If you ever want to drop by to see it, you are more than welcome. Again, we send our condolences. The world is brighter because of your mother’s well-lived life. Marilyn Wilburn

Dear Jonathan I was so saddened to hear of your Mother's death and send you my deepest condolences. I met your Mother when she was the Director of the Thomas Crane Public Library Adult Litetacy Program. She was so devoted to this work and brought so much joy and encouragement to the students in the program. It isn't easy for an adult to go back to school, especially when the issue is illiteracy, but your Mother's warmth, compassion, and beautiful smile made everyone feel welcome and at ease. She was a wonderful woman and I am so grateful to have known her.

Condolences to the Kline & Poliferno families on behalf of John & Louis D'Amato. We are related to the Poliferno family and remember in the 50's & 60's that we enjoyed good times on Laurel Beach. I remember Elaine fondly as a pleasant little girl.

Jon, So incredibly sad to see this today. Your Mom was one of my favorite “parents” . So kind and supportive. She also saw Laura many times at the animal clinic, and she was always so happy to see her. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Stephen, Laura, Dave, and Sam
