Condolences to the Family of Mary “Mae” Malloy

2022

TO ALL THE MALLOY FAMILY.. I am so saddened to hear a year has passed and I have just found out about this huge loss.Mae's spirit and enthusiasm was so infectious I loved to hear her stories about all of you and her life with Joe. She forgot nothing. All the many Malloy stories, parties, successes.and secrets My father, Frank Malloy your father Joe's 1st cousin was not really part of my life.He left when I was 6 and I really did not see much of him until I was 16.then only briefly .To have Mae was such a gift to hear old stories of my grandmother and grandfather Patrick Malloy. It was painful but not surprising.I had very little to do with my own grandfather .he was not fond of small children As I remember..he used to give me notes to give to my grandmother and she would give me notes to take back to him why ?? because they did not speak to each other. I wanted to have a big family like yours as a child..I never even guessed that this huge warm wonderful cast of fabulous characters existed just down the road..all Malloys. I have felt blessed since my very 1st visit with Mae .but I had a few visits at Tea Time. That will stay with Me forever. Upstairs in Joe's Den .just sitting with him made me feel part of ..He was a kinder version of my father they looked so much alike but so different.Joe was a delight . fun loving ,smart and so open .. Mae held the key to the whole Malloy mystery.. She filled in so many voids .I loved that womans mind and enthusiasm. I am so very grateful to have spent some time with them both...I live in Ireland part of the year and if Covid ever ends I plan on a journey to the West of Ireland to see some of the Malloy beginnings It is with some sadness and tears that I never really got to know any of you but so very honored that I was able to spend a little time with your remarkable parents With love Deidre Malloy From Charledtown Ma and Athy Co Kildare Ireland .

fond memories from when I first started in the business and went into Malloy's in the market. Mae was always fun and helpful when I had no clue what Hartstone sent me in to get. Usually she guessed correctly! Chris England..Bob sends his regards as well. God Bless

Sara and I were saddened to hear of the loss of Aunt Mae. She was a truly remarkable woman -- warm, generous, focused on her family, and willing to help in any way she could when she saw her help was needed. Her generosity and concern for my parents were deeply appreciated. Please be assured that we hold you all in our hearts and prayers at this difficult and trying time. Steve and Sara Anderson

Saddened to hear of Mae's passing. I say saddened yet when informed of her passing by a fellow coworker at MJ Malloy we immediately traded "Maesy" stories and found ourselves laughing. She had a zest for life and love of family that was infectious. I am a better person for having known her. My deepest personal condolences to Kathy, Pat, Terry, Mary Jo, Marty, and Michael and your extended families.

Sincere condolences to all the Malloy family on the sad passing of your beautiful mother Mae. She was a wonderful person and as her Irish cousins we have nothing but cherished memories of all her visits to Ireland. These visits began over 36yrs ago with your dad Joe. She loved her roots and we loved her company. Also we will never forget her kindness and hospitality when we visited Boston. Her phone calls to Bornacurra will be missed. We will be thinking of you all at this time. May her beautiful soul rest in peace. Your cousins Paddy, Michael, Maura, Teresa & Claire ( from the homestead).

I am very sad to say goodbye to a very specual.lady. Mae was an extraordinary woman and I sincerely treasure my moments and memories we shared. Although it makes me sad, I realize she is comfortable and at peace with loved ones that have gone before her. Thank you Mae for being you. And thank you for being a wonderful role model for my children. We all miss you. All my love forever

As a young married man Mae and Joe employed me and gave me the best 13 years of my working career. I will never forget all the fun we had and how they not only treated me but also Gina, Daniel, Maggie and Julie just like family. There wasn't a thing Mae wouldn't do for you. I remember when the business moved to Canton and she would pick up my kids at school. It was the highlight of their day to see that Lincoln pull up and bring them back to the showroom to do what ever Terry and Mary Jo wanted them to do. We all worked and played hard and the memories of the Malloy family will be forever in my mind. I am saddened to hear of her passing but after waiting 9 years I'm sure Joe will welcome her with open arms. I have missed him and I will miss Mae equally as well.
