Condolences to the Family of Kevin Stephen Riley

2021

Kevin and I were insurance colleagues but our conversations were typically centered around boats and sailing. A great friend and true professional. My sincere condolences.

I knew Kevin from the Maritime Academy. I am sure I can speak for our entire class that we are all sadden by his passing. Ours was a small class and, one by one, getting smaller.

So sad to hear about Kevin's passing. He was a friend and coworker for many years. We met when we both worked for the INA in the 1970's. He in Boston and me in NY. Throughout the years we worked together he was the leader of the marine insurance market in New England and one of the most colorful characters in our business. My wife Terry and I send our thoughts and prayers to Susan, his three children and family. I have fond memories of visiting Boston during basketball season and getting tickets to the Celtics games arranged by his brother Steven.

I was of course saddened to hear of Kevin's passing and it gave me time to reflect on just what a great, unpretentious person he was. With all the sincerity I can muster up, Kevin will always be remembered by me as one who was loyal to his family, friends and co-workers. I was truly blessed for having him as a friend and colleague and the memories I have from him brings a smile to my face. Susan and family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Kevin.

I am so sad to lose my brother-in-law, Kevin. He was the greatest and so sweet and kind to all of our family and everyone he knew! We had so many great times visiting and getting taken on sails all around. He would do anyrhing for you and had a ball teasing Susan's and my mother. I'll never forget that wicked little laugh and I will dearly miss him. Betsy Shepherd from Texas
