Joseph E. Doucette

Joseph E. Doucette, 68, of Hingham, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.

Joseph is predeceased by his parents Vincent and Florence Doucette, and his brothers Richard Doucette and his wife Maria of Mississippi and James Doucette of Hingham, MA.

Joseph is survived by his brothers Kenneth Doucette and his wife Gayle of Hingham, Vincent Doucette of Hingham, John Doucette of Hingham, Paul Doucette and his wife Sylvia of Arizona, Charles Doucette and his wife Holly of Arizona, and his sister Christine Doucette of Brockton, MA., and many much loved nieces and nephews.

Joseph was born and spent his life in Hingham, graduating from HHS in 1971.

Joseph worked as a landscaper, but his love was always music and he played the drums. At an early age, he transformed the family barn to a music venue where he would practice and perform with the bands he played in. He eventually played gigs at local venues in Hingham. He loved a variety of music from Jazz and the Blues to more contemporary.

Joseph also loved art and creating wonderful pictures and cards for his family and friends.

Joseph could always be spotted throughout town on his beloved bicycle. In any type of weather, you would see Joe riding around town and smiling and waving to friends and family.

Visiting hours for family will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 7-8 PM at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
